- Lakeland Cottage Sauna and a shower room, as well as a third bedroom that has bunk beds for two and could ideally suit older children or teenagers who wish to have their own space, have their own entrances from the terrace. Outside, there is a long wooden pier with lighting, garden swing, rowing boat and a terrace that offers beautiful lake views. The setting is ideal for swimming and relaxing by the pier, but if you fancy a more active holiday, bicycles can be hired from the owners. Fishing equipment are also available and a fishing permit is included in the rental price. To experience the beautiful Lakeland Archipelago with its blue lakes and small tree-covered islands first hand, take your rowing boat to the lake. In winter, snowmobiling safaris and snowshoe trekking are organised and cross-country skiing tracks run nearby. Toboggans will be available for children. Cabin

Location: Savonlinna with its cultural interests is located just 50km away. The town's lakeside position and harbour are particularly beautiful in summer when the town is bustling with visitors from all around the world. Visit the handsome medieval Olavinlinna Castle, where guided tours are given daily in different languages, including English. The castle is positioned on a small island and you walk in along a long pier, that is periodically opened for passing cruise ships. The castle is open all year apart from public holidays and 15-25 December. Punkaharju Ridge, famous for its extraordinary landscape comprising a myriad of islands and lakes, is located 30km away. Drive through the narrow roads surrounded by water for a truly beautiful scenery and visit the unique Retretti Art Centre that houses art in different forms in galleries located partly underground (open early June-late August). Children will love the Kesämaa (Summerland) Water and Adventure Park next door to Retretti (open early June-mid August). Water slides, bouncy castles, climbing tracks and boats offer fun for the whole day. Kitee Animal Park just 22km away is the home for a number of different species of wildlife native to Finland, including brown bears and lynxes. Lekotti Ski Resort 30km away is a small resort with four ski slopes, cross-country skiing tracks, toboggan hills, cafe and a ski equipment rental shop.
