        Lak084 - Golden Eye Cabin
Golden Eye Cabin is located on the borders of Lakeland and South by Pienvesi Lake. The cabin offers ideal accommodation for families and has a kitchen and dining area, lounge with a wood burning fireplace, sauna and shower room, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one bedroom with bunk beds for two. Two sofa beds in lounge sleep four extra guests if required.

The cabin has an outdoor terrace, large private grounds, garden swing, a wooden pier by the lake shore, rowing boat with lifejackets and a spacious barbecue shelter ideal for outdoor meals. A traditional wood burning smoke sauna is also available by prior booking.     

The cabin surrounds are peaceful and offer excellent opportunities for walking, cycling, rowing and fishing. Tennis courts are available nearby, while a canoe, bicycles, hot tub and fishing equipment can be hired from the cabin owner (please pre-book!). 

In winter, cross-country skiing tracks run nearby, while a snowmobile can be rented from the owners for thrilling rides on the well-maintained tracks or on the frozen lake for approx. €25/hour. The rental includes driving lessons, thermal overalls, a map, insurance and a sleigh for transporting children. Snowmobile safaris are also available.

Cabin amenities:
Wood burning sauna, shower room, changing room, WC, washing machine and drying cabinet for wet clothes, fireplace and logs, microwave, electric oven and hobs, TV, radio/CD player, electric heating, dishwasher, coffee maker, hoover, toaster, iron/ironing board, fridge/freezer, rowing boat and car heating point outdoors. A high chair and a cot are available by prior arrangement. 

Pets and smoking are not allowed. Bed linen and towels can be hired for €10 per person. Final clean in the cabin can be arranged on your behalf for €60. 

Location:
The cabin is located in a peaceful lakeside setting 3km from Pertunmaa village, where you will find two supermarkets, a restaurant and a bank. A petrol station and an off-licence are located about 15km away. Pertunmaa can be easily reached from Tampere or Helsinki in about 2 hours.

The cabin is located just 20m from a secluded sandy beach and a shallow lake shore that is ideal for swimming even for small children. The nearest neighbour is located 200m away allowing you total privacy.

The cabin owners' farm nearby has goats, sheep, bunnies, chickens and a cat that you are welcome to visit, while pony riding can also be arranged.    

Repovesi National Park 40km away consists of clear lakes and rocky, wooded hills. The park has a number of nature trails for leisurely walks and the high points along the trails offer lovely views over the park that inhabits moose, lynx, pine martens, otters and many different types of birds. 

Purnuvuori Ski Resort 50km away has 3 ski slopes for downhill skiing and snowboarding, 1 ski lift, 4km of cross-country skiing tracks, a ski hire shop, supermarket, ski cafe and a restaurant. Ski lessons are available by prior arrangement.

Fly on Finnair from London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh or Dublin to Helsinki (180km from cabin). Pick up a hire car at the airport.

Fly low-cost on Blue1 from London Heathrow, Dublin, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Oslo, Berlin, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Rome, Barcelona, Nice, Madrid, Athens or Paris to Helsinki. Pick up a hire car at the airport.

Fly low-cost on Ryanair from London Stansted, Dublin or Frankfurt to Tampere (200km). Pick up a hire car at the airport.

Trains are available from Helsinki and Tampere to Mäntyharju (30km) from where the cabin owners can pick you up free of charge.
