           Lak091 - Tranquillity Villa
This secluded lakeside villa in a naturally beautiful location can sleep up to 8 people. The villa consists of two floors and has an open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with a wood burning fireplace, utility room, one twin/double bedroom, 2 WCs, sauna and a shower room with two showers downstairs and two twin/double bedrooms and a third WC and shower upstairs. Two extra beds are available if needed.  

A beautiful lake view can be admired from most of the  windows in the villa and a decked terrace that runs on two sides of the villa towards the lake. The villa also includes a barbecue area, rowing boat, private pier and a very secluded lake shore. 

Darts and badminton will be available in summer, while bicycles and fishing equipment can be hired from the cabin owner. Cross-country skis, ice-skates and a kick sledge can be hired from the owner in winter, while snowmobiling safaris are also available in the area. Toboggans are available for children.   

Cabin amenities:
Wood burning sauna, 3 showers, 3 WCs, washing machine, fireplace and logs, microwave, electric oven and hobs, TV, video recorder, DVD player, radio/CD player, private pier, electric heating, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, rowing boat, terrace, hoover, toaster, iron/ironing board, fridge/freezer, drying cupboard for wet clothes, car heating point, a baby bed, high chair, potty, child safety gate in stairs and an outdoor barbecue.

Pets and smoking are not allowed. Bed linen and towels can be hired for €12 per person. Final clean in the cabin can be arranged on your behalf for €80.  

Location:
The cabin is located 7km from Suonenjoki town where you will find good local amenities and 67km from Kuopio Airport. The cabin is located just 20m from a shallow lake shore, that is ideal for swimming for all ages, while the nearest neighbour is another identical cabin 100m away. 

Cross-country skiing tracks are available in winter in the immediately vicinity of the cabin and an ice hall and a lit ice track are availability for ice-skating in Suonenjoki.

Kuopio about 45km away is a lively town with a wide variety of shops, restaurants and museums to visit on a day trip. Make sure you visit the 75m high Puijo Tower, from where you can admire one of the best views in the Lakeland region while dining in the A la Carte restaurant or the more informal cafe, both of which go round 360 degrees in an hour.     

Children will love the Vehmasmäki Animal Farm (open spring-autumn) that has a number of cute and cuddly farm animals and pets just 25km away. Horse-riding on Islandic horses is available in the area by prior booking, while fishermen will enjoy excellent salmon fishing in Suonenjoki and in Nokisenkoski 30km away.  

Kids and water enthusiasts will enjoy the Vesileppis Indoor Water Park (47km), that has a variety of different swimming pools, water slides and saunas in a constant temperature of pleasant +32C degrees. Kymppi Areena, an underground indoor cross-country skiing stadium next door, offers all year ski tracks.    

Rämäkkä Ski Resort 24km away is ideal for beginners and families. The resort has 4 ski slopes for downhill skiing, a snow park for snowboarding, ski hire shop and a cafe. Please note that the resort is open wed-sun only. 

Häkärinteet Ski Resort 59km away and Kasurila Ski Resort 57km away are larger resorts and open daily during the winter season. Both resorts have a ski hire shop and a ski school.

Fly on Finnair from London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh or Dublin to Kuopio (67km from cabin) via Helsinki. Pick up a hire car at the airport.

Fly low-cost on Blue1 from London Heathrow, Dublin,  Rome, Copenhagen, Athens, Amsterdam, Gothenburg, Berlin, Hamburg, Barcelona, Madrid, Oslo, Nice or Paris to Helsinki (360km) or Kuopio via Helsinki. Pick up a hire car at the airport.

Fly low-cost on Ryanair from London Stansted, Liverpool, Dublin or Frankfurt to Tampere (240km). Pick up a hire car at the airport.
