           Lak093 - Pine Tree Lodge 
This beautiful cabin has two floors and there is a kitchen and dining area, lounge with a wood burning fireplace, utility room, sauna, shower room and one double bedroom downstairs. The upstairs consists of a living area, one twin bedroom and a larger second bedroom with four single beds. Two additional beds are available on a sofa bed, if required. 

Cabin surrounds are peaceful and there is a lovely view down to a pool of water from the balcony and two decked terraces. There is a small private barbecue and a rowing boat outdoors, while a wooden pier, larger barbecue hut, wood burning sauna by the shore and a two car garage are shared with another cabin next door.

A fenced children's play area about 80m away includes a sand pit, swings and a giant trampoline, as well as a volley ball/badminton net. Bicycles can be hired from the owners for a small charge.    

The cabin is located by a pool of tranquil water between rapids and a river that leads to a lake about 200m away. Opportunities for fishing are excellent and fishing rods and permits are available. In winter, cross-country skiing tracks start directly from the cabin, while snowmobiling tracks run about 500m away.  

Cabin amenities:
Indoor wood burning sauna, 2 showers, 2 WCs, washing machine, fireplace and logs, microwave, electric oven and hobs, 2 TVs (one with satellite channels), video recorder with videos, DVD player with DVDs, radio/CD player, XBox playstation and games, wireless broadband internet connection, board games, electric heating, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, central hoover system, toaster, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, fridge/freezer, drying cupboard for wet clothes, car heating point, baby bed, high chair, potty and a child safety gate in stairs.

Kitchen roll, toilet paper, washing up liquid, soap, cleaning liquids, greaseproof paper and freezer bags are all also included.  

Pets and smoking are not allowed. Bed linen and towels can be hired for £10 per person. Final clean in the cabin can be arranged on you behalf for £77. 

Location:
The cabin is located 70km from Kajaani Airport and 7km from Sukeva village, where you will find basic local amenities such as a food shop and a small restaurant. Iisalmi town 28km away has a larger selection of supermarkets, shops and restaurants. The cabin is located 60m from the water's edge and 60m from the nearest neighbour (identical cabin).

Manamansalo Island 80km away offers an ideal day trip destination with its long sandy beaches in summer. The island can be reached on a small car ferry that travels between the island and the mainland.  

The area has a rich variety of different species of animals and birds. Talaskangas Nature Reserve just 15km away is populated by owls, flying squirrels, capercaillies, woodpeckers, bears, wolves and even lynxes. The reserve has 12km of nature trails in a magnificent scenery. 

Tiilikkajärvi National Park is another wonderful day trip destination just 50km away. The park is known particularly for its fine sandy beaches, interesting walking trails and picturesque canoeing. Nearer the cabin, Volokinpolku trail about 25km away is particularly recommended for those that enjoy walking.

Fine stone church can be visited 15km away in Sonkajärvi, famous also for its Wife Carrying World Championships that take place in the village every year in July.

Small Paloisvuori Ski Resort 30km away has 2 ski slopes, 1 ski lift, good cross-country skiing tracks, tobogganing hills and a cafe. This resort is ideal for beginners and children, while larger ski resorts Tahko (68km) and Vuokatti (75km) cater for the more experienced skier. 

Kuopio 88km away is a lively town with a wide variety of shops, restaurants and museums to visit on a day trip. Make sure you visit the 75m high Puijo Tower, from where you can admire one of the best views in the Lakeland region while dining in the A la Carte restaurant or the more informal cafe, both of which go around 360 degrees in an hour.

Fly on Finnair from London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh or Dublin to Kajaani (70km from cabin) or Kuopio (80km) via Helsinki. Pick up a hire car at the airport.
