This beautiful cabin located is located by Kallavesi Lake near Kuopio. The cabin affords fantastic open lake views from its south-facing front and the private grounds offer plenty of privacy, as the nearest neighbours are located 200m away.

The cabin has two spacious floors. The entrance floor includes a kitchen and dining area with access to a balcony that has a table and chairs for socialising and meals out, smart sitting room with a wood burning fireplace, WC and two twin/double bedrooms.

The lower floor includes a second sitting room with a fireplace with access outdoors to the lake shore, one twin/double bedroom, sauna, shower room, WC, storage area and an outdoor terrace. Two extra beds are available if required.

All indoor areas have under floor heating that works well with a sustainable system that uses warmth rising from the earth.

The cabin grounds are very peaceful and mainly grass covered areas with wide wooden steps leading down to the lake shore. A barbecue can also be enjoyed. 

The cabin surrounds are ideal for walking, cycling and fishing in summer and bicycles can be hired from the cabin owners for the duration of your stay. There are numerous golf courses within a 50km radius and boat trips are available in nearby Kuopio in summer. Tahko ski resort is located about 45km away, while snowmobile tracks also run nearby during the winter. 

Cabin amenities:
Electric sauna, shower, 2 WCs, washing machine and drying cabinet for wet clothes, 2 fireplaces and logs, microwave, electric oven and hobs, digital TV, DVD player, dishwasher, Mocca Master coffee maker, kettle, central hoover system, under floor heating throughout, toaster, iron/ironing board, fridge/freezer, rowing boat with lifejackets, pier, barbecue grill and a car heating point outdoors.

If a baby bed and a high chair are required, these can be pre-ordered for additional charge.   

Pets and smoking are not allowed in this cabin. Bed linen and towels are included in the rental price for maximum six people. Additional sets can be ordered for additional charge of 20 euros per set. Final clean is included in the rental price. 

Location:
The cabin is located in Pelonniemi, 29km from Kuopio Airport and about 40km from Kuopio itself (about 30 minute drive). The nearest neighbour is located 200m away allowing you plenty of privacy. The lake shore in front of the cabin is ideal for swimming and has a sandy bottom. 

The nearest food shop, bank and a petrol station can be found in Riistavesi about 14km away, while a larger choice of department stores, smaller shops, restaurants and cafes can be found in Kuopio.

Kuopio also has a 75m high Puijo Tower from where you can admire one of the best views in the Lakeland region while dining in the A la Carte restaurant or the more informal cafe, both of which go around 360 degrees in an hour.     

The area is extremely beautiful with lakes, dense woods and fields covering most of the ground. Dramatic gorges add to the appeal and you can visit some of them in Tuusniemi, about 40km east of the cabin. The Gorge Valley ('Rotkolaakso') in Tuusniemi is about 500m long, 20-40m wide and at points up to 25m deep. The area was designated a protected Nature Area in 1964.

Popular Tahko Ski Resort just 45km away has 23 ski slopes for downhill skiing, 13 ski lifts and 2 half-pipes and a street for snowboarding. The resort also has a ski school and a ski hire shop. Children who are under 7 years old, wear a helmet and are accompanied by their parents, ski for free!
