- Himos Villa 1 Himos Villa 1 has a luxurious open plan kitchen, living and dining area where beautiful lake views can be admired through large, tall windows and where one of the villa's two fireplaces is also positioned. The villa has three double bedrooms (one of which is en-suite), one single bedroom and a large mezzanine where additional 7 single beds offer comfortable sleeping space for large parties. A large luxury sauna, shower room (2 showers), dressing room, utility room and a second sitting room that has a fireplace for relaxation and entertainment are also in your party's private use. The lake shore outside includes a private pier and a rowing boat and there is a barbecue on a terrace for outdoor meals. In winter, the downhill ski slopes are the highest and the longest you will find in Southern and Central Finland, while extensive cross-country ski tracks and snowmobile safaris are also available. In summer, quad bike safaris, horse riding and golf are popular activities. Himos Ski Resort has 21 ski slopes for downhill skiing, 15 ski lifts, a super pipe and a street for snowboarding, a slope for moguls and tobogganing hills. There is a ski hire shop, ski school, hill top cafe, two bars and three restaurants. Children under 7 years old ski for free if they wear a helmet.Jyväskylä is the nearest large town about 55km away. The town has a wide variety of shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as a pretty harbour, from where you can take a cruise on Lake Päijänne, the longest and the deepest lake in Finland. Look out for buildings designed by Alvar Aalto, the famous Finnish architect and a former resident in the town. Isojärvi National Park nearby consists of silent forests, narrow lakes, rocky shores and over 20 small islands where water birds and Canadian beavers can be spotted. The park has a total of 30km of signposted hiking trails, while cycling, swimming, canoeing, fishing, cross-country skiing and picking wild berries and mushrooms are also possible. How
