                 Lap003 - Levi's Nest
This stylish log cabin, furnished by a professional interior designer, is located in Levi Ski Resort, just a few minutes walk from the ski slopes and the local amenities in the Levi village. The cabin has three floors and the contemporary decor and fittings are finished to a high specification. The cabin feels luxurious and the amenities include an ADSL internet connection, Sony home theatre entertainment, cable TV, Siemens household appliances and Marimekko textiles. 

The highest floor has two twin/double bedrooms with clock radios and spacious wardrobes. The ground floor consists of an open-plan  kitchen with a bar-style breakfast counter and a large dining table, a sitting area with comfortable sofas and arm chairs and two twin/double bedrooms, again with clock radios and spacious wardrobes. A balcony can be accessed from the open plan living area, as well as from one of the bedrooms. The ceiling is high (5m at its highest point) and large windows let plenty of light in, while the wood burning fireplace creates a romantic atmosphere. 

The lower ground floor includes a second living area, utility room, a refrigerator, two drying cupboards for wet ski suits, sauna and a shower room (two showers) with a direct access to a terrace at the back of the cabin. This floor also has extra beds for additional four people if required. All three floors have a WC with a hairdryer.

Levi is the largest ski resort in Finland and comes highly recommended for keen skiers, couples looking for an active holiday near nightlife and places to eat out, as well as families, who wish to stay near activities for children. Kids' Land offers daily fun and free organised activities for children of all ages, while babysitting is also available for an hourly rate.   

Catering is available for breakfast and/or dinner by prior booking.

Electric sauna, shower room with 2 showers, 3 WCs with hairdryers, washing machine, dryer, open fireplace and logs, microwave, electric oven and hobs, cable 28" TV (13 channels), DVD/CD/radio system with 5 speakers, portable CD player, 4 clock radios, electric heating, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, cognac and wine glasses, hoover, iron/ironing board, fridge/freezer, toaster, car heating point, terrace and a balcony. 

Pets and smoking are not allowed. Bed linen, towels and final clean in the cabin are included in the rental price.

Location:
This cabin is located in Levi, just 700m by foot and 1.5km in a car from the nearest ski slopes. Kittilä Airport is located 15km away and an Airport Bus operates between the airport and Levi for a small charge from/to every Finnair flight. A free SkiBus also operates in Levi between cabin areas, village and the ski slopes during the ski season from mid-Nov to early May from 10am-7pm. The nearest bus stop to 'Levi's Nest' is located about 250m away.  

Levi village caters well for visitors and has 45 varied ski slopes, 5 slopes/parks for snowboarders, 26 ski lifts, a cable car, 230km of cross-country skiing tracks, 4 ski hire shops, a ski school, 25 restaurants and cafes, 3 supermarkets, an off-licence, chemist, post office, petrol station, First Aid and doctor's surgery, sports and souvenir shops, a chapel, spa complex, 3 gyms and a swimming pool.

Our safari partner in Levi has a very good programme of safaris, that include snowmobiling, reindeer and husky rides, ice-fishing, kick sledging and Northern Lights adventures. In December, a Santa Claus Safari is also available. Warm winter clothing can be hired locally, although most safaris include full thermal clothing in the price.  

Levi Golf and Country Club has an 18-hole course, where you can play golf under the Midnight Sun from June-July. Fishing, mountain biking and canoeing are other popular activities in Levi in the summertime.  

Levi Reindeer Park consists of 170ha where reindeer wander freely during the summer months and where you can go trekking or Nordic walking. Guided expeditions introduce you to the reindeer and reindeer husbandry in the area, while a ski lift takes you to the top of the fell to admire the far reaching views of Lapland's wild nature.

The nearby 1020km² Pallas-Ylläs Fells National Park is the third largest national park in Finland. The park consists of fells, woods and swamps and is said to have the cleanest air in Europe. The network of sign posted hiking trails cover 320km that offer lovely views of the majestic fells in the horizon (the highest fell in the park towers at 807m). Reindeer, bears and moose are common, while wolves, wolverines and lynxes are occasional visitors.

How do I get there?
Fly on Finnair from London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh or Dublin to Kittilä (15km from cabin) via Helsinki. Pick up a hire car at the airport or take a taxi to the cabin. Alternatively, take Airport Bus to Levi and a taxi from there to the cabin (1.5km).

Fly on Blue1 from London Heathrow, Dublin, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome, Hamburg, Barcelona, Madrid, Athens, Oslo, Nice or Paris to Kittilä via Helsinki.
