  Lap198-199 - Arctic Reindeer A & B
Two stylish semi-detached log cabins located in Levi Ski Resort. The cabins offer comfortable accommodation particularly for families with easy access to village amenities and ski slopes.

There is an open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with a wood burning fireplace, one double bedroom, sauna, shower room, WC and a terrace downstairs, while there is a second twin bedroom that also includes a sofa bed for two upstairs. Another sofa bed in the lounge downstairs provides additional beds for further two. The actual decor in cabins vary.

The cabins are located within a short SkiBus ride (2.5km)from the village centre where you will find the ski slopes, shops, bars and restaurants. 

Levi is the largest and the liveliest ski resort in Finland and is therefore ideal for skiers, couples and families who wish to have an active holiday near shops, restaurants, ski slopes and activities for children. Kids' Land offers free organised activities for children of all ages, while babysitting is also available for an hourly rate.   

Breakfast service and other catering is available in these cabins by prior booking. 

Cabin amenities:
Electric sauna, shower, WC, fireplace and logs, washing machine and a drying cupboard, microwave, electric oven and hobs, TV and DVD player both upstairs and downstairs, radio/CD player, electric central heating throughout + under floor heating downstairs, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, hoover, toaster, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, fridge/freezer, child stair gate and a car heating point outdoors.

Toboggans, bicycles, baby beds and high chairs can be hired from the cabin caretakers for an extra charge. Discounted ski lift passes are also available by prior booking.

Pets and smoking are not allowed. Bed linen and towels must be hired for €20 per person, while final clean in the cabin is included in the rental price. 

Location:
The cabins are located in a convenient location in Levi Ski Resort just 15km from Kittilä Airport. The Airport Bus operates between the airport and Levi from/to every Finnair and Blue1 flight. 

The shops, ski slopes, restaurants, bars and the Kids Land are located just 2.5km from the cabins and can be reached easily by using the free SkiBus, that operates from/to a bus stop about 50m from the cabins. The SkiBus service operates every 30 minutes to one hour from mid-Nov to early May 10am-7pm. A good taxi service is also available.

Levi village caters well for visitors and has 45 varied ski slopes, 5 slopes/parks for snowboarders, 26 ski lifts, a cable car, 230km of cross-country skiing tracks, 4 ski hire shops, a ski school, 25 restaurants and cafes, 3 supermarkets, an off-licence, chemist, post office, petrol station, First Aid and doctor's surgery, sports and souvenir shops, a chapel, spa complex, 3 gyms and a swimming pool. 

Our safari partner in Levi has a very good programme of safaris, that include snowmobiling, reindeer and husky rides, ice-fishing, kick sledging and Northern Lights adventures. In December, a Santa Claus Safari is also available. Warm winter clothing can be hired locally, although most safaris include full thermal clothing in the price.      

Levi Golf and Country Club has an 18-hole course, where you can play golf under the Midnight Sun from June-July. Fishing, mountain biking and canoeing are other popular activities in Levi in the summertime.   

Levi Reindeer Park consists of 170ha where reindeer wander freely during the summer months and where you can go trekking or Nordic walking. Guided expeditions introduce you to the reindeer and reindeer husbandry in the area, while a ski lift takes you to the top of the fell to admire the far reaching views of Lapland's wild nature.  

The nearby 1020km² Pallas-Ylläs Fells National Park is the third largest national park in Finland. The park consists of fells, woods and swamps and is said to have the cleanest air in Europe. The network of sign posted hiking trails cover 320km that offer lovely views of the majestic fells in the horizon (the highest fell in the park towers at 807m). Reindeer, bears and moose are common, while wolves, wolverines and lynxes are occasional visitors.

How do I get there?
Fly on Finnair from London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh or Dublin to Kittilä (15km from cabin) via Helsinki. Pick up a hire car at the airport or take a taxi to the cabin. Alternatively, take the Airport Bus to Levi and a taxi from there to the cabin (2.5km).

Fly on Blue1 from London Heathrow, Dublin, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome, Hamburg, Barcelona, Madrid, Athens, Oslo, Nice or Paris to Kittilä via Helsinki.
