OUR OPINION

Modern cabin with excellent amenities in a beautiful seaside location near a golf course. Recommended particularly for enthusiastic golfers and all those interested in the many historical attractions and seaside towns in the area. A week's holiday here could also be easily combined with a short break in Helsinki.

n accommodate up to 7 people. The cabin has an open plan kitchen and dining room, lounge, wood burning fireplace, sauna, shower, shared pier, terrace and two twin/double bedrooms downstairs. A mezzanine upstairs sleeps additional three people. The cabin has modern appliances and contemporary furniture and decor throughout.

The location of the cabin just an hour's drive from Helsinki is ideal if you wish to combine a cabin holiday with a short break in Helsinki, while the golfers are also well catered for as there is a high-standard golf course next door.

The cabin has peaceful surrounds where flowers, mushrooms, berries, fish and wildlife flourish. In spring and autumn many rare species of birds are spotted in the area. A small sandy beach by the sea has a pier and a place for a campfire, where warm summer evenings can be enjoyed by the sunset.

Location:
The cabin is located in Rönnas, 3km from the small village of Isnäs and 26km east of Porvoo. The location is just 80km from Helsinki. The cabin offers sea views and the shallow sea shore is just 50m from the cabin. The nearest food shop is located 15km away, but a smaller bar where usual food items are sold is located just 3km away.

The 18+9 hole Rönnas Golf Course, located just 1km and a short walking distance away, is set in a varied landscape by the sea. The course is said to be one of the most beautiful golf courses in the whole country and is well worth a visit if you enjoy golf and fresh sea air!

The cabin is located near the King's Road, famous for it's medieval castles, grey stone churches, romantic old ruins and stately manor houses. Porvoo, the second oldest town in Finland, is renowned for its unspoilt Old Town and the majestic Cathedral, surrounded by charming 18th century wooden houses and narrow cobbled streets.

Loviisa 30km away is another pretty town along the King's Road. The town was built by the Swedish King Kustaa Adolf and the Old Town dates back to the 1800's and is known for its fortifications and wooden houses. Take a leisurely cruise to the Svartholma Sea Fortress from the harbour.

Archipelago Museum about 1km away is a charming small museum that tells the story of how people in the area have lived and made their living from the sea for many centuries. The museum is open during the high summer season.

The nearby Valkmusa National Park consists of the largest and most varied swamp areas in the Southern Finland. In summer the park is popular amongst hikers and in winter amongst cross-country skiers. High rocks and nature towers provide ideal spots for bird-watching and for enjoying the beautiful views.
