Snowmobile Safari around Syöte Fell

A thrilling snowmobile safari in the beautiful surrounds of Syote. Enjoy the magical snowy landscape and feel the thrill of speed driving your own snowmobile. Sausages will be grilled during a break from driving and coffee and tea will be served with buns.  

The safari is operated with either one or two people on each snowmobile and includes snowmobile hire, a helmet, petrol, driving tuition, snowmobile insurance (personal excess €500), hire of warm clothing and services of a local guide. 

The safari lasts about 3 hours and the distance driven by snowmobiles is about 30km.

Please note, you must be at least 15 years old and hold a valid driving licence to drive a snowmobile.

Snowmobile Safari to Teerivaara Tepee

A gentle snowmobile safari in the beautiful surrounds of Syote. This safari is operated with your guide driving a snowmobile and pulling a sleigh where all participants will sit, so this safari is ideal for families and everyone who do not want to drive snowmobiles themselves. Experience the magical snowy landscape and enjoy sausages grilled on a barbecue together with hot drinks, juice and buns.   

The safari includes hire of warm clothing and a helmet, services of a local guide, hot drinks and a snack. 

The safari lasts about 1.5-2 hours and the distance driven by snowmobiles is about 10km.

Combined Snowmobile and Husky Safari

Drive through the snowy forests to the local husky camp where 100 Siberian huskies are eagerly waiting for your visit. You will find out about the huskies and how to ride a husky team before setting off for a 6km husky ride. Two people per sleigh/husky team. The husky ride takes you through a magical winter forest and takes about 30 minutes. After the ride, hot drinks and buns will be served in a traditional Lapp tepee before your return journey on snowmobiles.

The safari is operated with either one or two people on each snowmobile and includes snowmobile hire, a helmet, petrol, driving tuition, snowmobile insurance (personal excess €500), hire of warm clothing and services of a professional English speaking guide. Car transfers from/to your accommodation can be arranged for 20 euros.

This short safari is suitable for all family. Enjoy a thrilling snowmobile ride through snowy landscape to the local husky camp that is home to a hundred Siberian huskies. Find out about the lovable huskies and their care at the camp and enjoy  hot drinks in the traditional Lapp tepee.

The safari is operated with either one or two people on each snowmobile and includes snowmobile hire, a helmet, petrol, driving tuition, snowmobile insurance (personal excess €500), hire of warm clothing and services of a professional English speaking guide. Car transfers from/to your accommodation can be arranged for 20 euros.

The excursion lasts about 2.5 hours and the driving distance on snowmobiles is about 15km.   

This safari is usually available on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 14.00 (2pm).

6km Husky Safari

A short car ride takes to you the local husky camp where you can experience a fun 6km husky sleigh ride that offers thrills of speed, beautiful winter scenery and unforgettable memories. Two people per sleigh/husky team. The husky ride takes about 30 minutes. Coffee and buns will be served in a traditional Lapp tepee.  

This 2 hour excursion includes a husky sleigh ride, hot drinks and grilled sausages by a campfire. You will need your own warm clothing. Car transfers from/to your accommodation can be arranged for approx. 20 euros.  

This safari is usually available on Tuesdays at 15.00 (3pm).

12km Husky Safari

A short car ride takes to you the local husky camp where you can experience a fun 12km husky sleigh ride that offers thrills of speed, beautiful winter scenery and unforgettable memories. Two people per sleigh/husky team. The husky ride takes about 1 hour. Coffee and buns will be served in a traditional Lapp tepee.  

This 2.5 hour excursion includes a husky sleigh ride, hot drinks and grilled sausages by a campfire. You will need your own warm clothing. Car transfers from/to your accommodation can be arranged for approx. 20 euros.

This safari is usually available on Saturdays at 15.00 (3pm).

Husky Camp Excursion

Visit the Syote husky camp where 100 Siberian huskies are eager to get to know you. Find out about the huskies and their care at the camp and learn about different types of safaris the huskies like to do. Hot drinks and buns will be served in a traditional Lapp tepee. The excursion lasts about one hour.  

The excursion includes hot drinks and buns. You will need your own warm clothing. Car transfers from/to your accommodation can be arranged for approx. 20 euros.

This safari is usually available on Tuesdays at 15.00 (3pm).

Ice-Fishing in Pärnäjoki

Enjoy a sleigh ride pulled by a snowmobile to Pärnäjoki River where you will have an opportunity to ice-fish through thick ice for perch, graylings and even trouts. A snack will be served in a traditional Lapp tepee. Snowmobile transfer to the river is about 6km. 

This 3-4 hour excursion includes snowmobile sleigh transfers, hire of all ice-fishing equipment and a snack. You will need your own warm clothing. Car transfers from/to your accommodation can be arranged for approx. 20 euros. 

This safari is usually available on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11.00 (11am).

Snowy 30km Husky Safari

A sleigh ride pulled by the lovable huskies offers thrills of speed, beautiful winter scenery and unforgettable memories. Visit a local husky camp and find out how to ride a husky sleigh yourselves before enjoying a 30km safari through the snowy landscape. One person per sleigh/husky team. A lunch is included and will be taken in a traditional Lapp tepee. 

This 4-5 hour excursion includes a husky sleigh ride and a picnic lunch. You will need your own warm clothing. Car transfers from/to your accommodation can be arranged for approx. 20 euros.
