A fascinating insight into the workings of a husky centre in Vuokatti. Meet the friendly Siberian and Alaskan huskies and their puppies, enjoy a thrilling husky ride (1.5km) led by your own husky team and hear interesting stories about the huskies and their daily life. Finally enjoy a hot drink in the guest house, where there is also an opportunity to buy souvenirs. The visit lasts about 1.5 hours and includes a guided tour in the husky centre, husky driving and safety instructions, a short husky ride, hot drinks and services of a professional English speaking guide. A longer 3km husky ride is also available. This excursion is available 1 November-23 December 2008 and 12 January-22 April 2009. Minimum group size of four people is required.

You will be given the necessary driving and safety instructions and then enjoy a thrilling husky ride leading your own team of 4-6 huskies. One team of huskies is shared by two people (a driver and a passenger). After the ride, hot drinks will be available in the guest house. The excursion lasts approx. 2 hours and includes warm overalls, boots, mittens, services of a professional English speaking guide, husky driving and safety instructions, a husky ride and hot drinks. Your experienced guide will teach you how to harness a dog team and you will be given the necessary driving and safety instructions. The safari covers 20km, lasts approx. 4 hours and includes warm overalls, boots, mittens, services of a professional English speaking guide, husky driving and safety instructions, a husky ride, hot drinks and snacks. This safari is available 15 January-22 April 2009. Minimum group size of four people is required.
