This family-size cabin for up to 8 people has modern amenities and a good standard of decor. The cabin has an open plan kitchen and dining area, lounge, private pier, terrace with open lake views, sauna, shower, wood burning fireplace, one twin/double bedroom, one triple bedroom and a sofa bed for two. One mattress can be arranged for one additional person if required. 

The cabin has a lovely location high up a ridge that allows beautiful lake views from the terrace facing the lake. The lake shore and a private pier are accessed via a number of wooden steps, while there is an electric barbecue on the decked terrace for outdoor dining.

The area is naturally beautiful and very peaceful, while the lake has plenty of fish. Ice-fishing and cross-country skiing tracks are available in winter. The owners are happy to lend bicycles, fishing rods, toboggans and toys for children free of charge. For older children, a quad-bike can be rented for €150/day or €20/hour (the use of this quad-bike is on your own responsibility!).

Cabin amenities:
Wood burning sauna, shower, WC, washing machine, fireplace and logs, microwave, electric oven and hobs, TV, video recorder, radio, CD player, private pier, electric heating, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, rowing boat and lifejackets, hoover, toaster, iron/ironing board, fridge/freezer, electric barbecue on the terrace, garage with a car heating point and a children's play area with swings and a sandbox. 

Pets are allowed, but smoking is not. Bed linen and towels can be rented for £15 per person. Final cleaning in the cabin can be arranged on your behalf for £90.

Location:
The cabin is located in Kutala, 35km from Tampere Airport and there is a taxi pick up service available for €50-60 (payable locally). The nearest town is Nokia, 20km away. All local amenities are located just a short drive away. The lake shore 40m from the cabin is shallow, which makes it ideal for swimming also for children. The nearest neighbour 50m away is present in summer only.  

In summer, golfers are spoilt for choice with three beautiful golf courses nearby. The 18-hole Lakeside Golf in Karkku is said to be one of the most beautiful in Finland due to its setting amongst green woods and blue water. A second brand new golf course will open next door to Lakeside Golf in Spring 2005. The 18-hole River Golf in Nokia is also worth a visit.  

Tampere 40km away is the third largest town in Finland and boasts a number of good restaurants, bars, department stores and attractions for the whole family. Särkänniemi Adventure Park, for example, has a wide variety of thrilling rides, a dolphinarium, aquarium, planetarium, children's zoo, the highest observation tower in the Nordic countries and even an art museum for the grown- ups. The rides and the zoo are open daily 30.4-14.8, while the other attractions stay open all year round.  

Visit also the curious Moominvalley Museum in the centre of Tampere for Moomin illustrations, figurines and a computer enabled virtual tour of the famous Moomin House (open daily tue-sun, mon in summer only).

The Puurijärvi and Isosuo National Park nearby consists of large swamps and a shallow, lush Puurijärvi Lake, that is a popular destination for bird watchers from all around the world.

The Seitseminen National Park is also easily accessible from the cabin. The park has many clearly marked nature trails that are ideal for day trips and you might even see one of the resident pine marten, flying squirrels, cranes, swans or willow grouses during your visit.

The nearest ski resort Ellivuori is located just 6km away. The resort has 6 ski slopes for downhill skiing and snowboarding, 4 ski lifts, a ski cafe, ski school and a ski equipment rental shop. Snowshoes can also be hired from the shop. The use of two complimentary season skiing tickets to the resort are included in the rental price. The resort is ideal particularly for beginners and families.

Fly low-cost on Ryanair from London Stansted, Dublin or Frankfurt to Tampere (35km from cabin). Pick up a hire car at the airport or take a taxi to the cabin.

Fly on Finnair or BA from London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh or Dublin to Helsinki (200km). Pick up a hire car at the airport.

Fly low-cost on Blue1 from London Heathrow, Dublin, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome, Hamburg, Barcelona, Madrid, Athens, Oslo, Nice or Paris to Helsinki. Pick up a hire car at the airport.
