Wes013 - Loch Cabin The cabin has a tranquil setting deep in the countryside and just 15m from the small Havulampi Lake. The cabin grounds include a small sandy beach and a pretty pier, where you will find a table and chairs for relaxing, reading a book or just admiring the open lake views. Location: Children of all ages will love Veijari Activity Park in nearby Saarijärvi. The park has bouncy castles, games, swings, water floats, cute animals to cuddle and lots more. The park is open daily in summer from early June to mid August. Pyhä-Häkki National Park has ancient trees and untouched forests, as well as many rare birds, insects and plants. Enjoy a leisurely hike along the clearly marked nature trails for fresh air and beautiful scenery. Julmat Lammit Conservation Park is also worth a visit for its fantastically rugged terrain, dark forests and deep ridges, that are pierced by beautiful clear lakes. Both parks are located near Saarijärvi town, that also has a few good canoeing trails, if you wish to take to the water. Jyväskylä 65km away offers an ideal day trip destination with its department stores, restaurants, cafes and a pretty harbour, from where you can take a cruise on Lake Päijänne, the longest and the deepest lake in Finland. If you are interested in architecture, look out for the work designed by Alvar Aalto, the famous Finnish architect and a former resident in the town. Visit Ähtäri Zoo 94km away and see over 300 animals native to the Nordic region. Expect to catch a glimpse of a lynx, wolverine, moose, wolf and the brown bear couple Santeri and Santra.
